| Lots of exciting thing happening in the world of me. Enjoying a new apartment right on Green-wood cemetery near Park Slope, Brooklyn. It is a very relaxed neighborhood, especially after living on the upper east side for a year and a half. Here are several links to some recordings and videos: Mitch Perrins Atlantic Quartet had a recent gig at Bar 66 in Soho, and it was broadcast on Breakthru Radio, listen to the live show here. | Things have been very busy. I recently played a solo recital for the concert series at the Union Church of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The concert featured some jazz, classical, as well as improvised numbers. Please visit my MySpace Page to hear some of the music. Little Grey Girlfriend is currently finishing a new album. We had some fun shows so far in 2008 at the Delancey and at Rockwood Music Hall. I have also enjoyed playing gigs at the 55 Bar with the singer Kelsey Jillette we have some shows and a recording date coming up. I have been playing quite a bit with the saxophonist Guillaume Laurent at both Casaville in Manhattan and Bacchus Bistro in Brooklyn. Cameron Mizell's new album is out with rave reviews. We had a great gig at Club Groove last month, hope to play more soon. Another new group has started playing, the name of the group is yet to be determined, but is lead by bassist Bennett Miller. After some shows in Harlem and Williamsburg I am excited for more. Also be on the lookout for a record I am involved in with the vocalist Laura McCarthy, it should be available this summer. |
